ABOUT THE HIVE

I started Brightwood Bee Ranch in 2020 as part of an effort to maximize the ecological benefit of our first property, a 1926 semi-detached rowhouse with a postage stamp sized back yard in the beautiful tree-lined neighborhood of Brightwood in northwest Washington, D.C. The Ranch has since expanded to other Brightwood and Takoma neighbors' yards as a hyper-local effort to demonstrate the benefits of all pollinators to neighbors, some of whom have lived in Brightwood for more than 60 years! Proudly veteran owned and operated, our bees make Washingtonian honey for Washingtonians from the trees and flowers of of the Douglass Commonwealth!
